Wanting to keep the element of surprise, Andrea and her husband decided against finding out their baby's gender. As they prepared for their little one’s arrival and unsure whether it was a "muchacho" or "muchacha" (Mexican slang for boy or girl), they created a gender-neutral nickname: Muchachi.
