The Garden State Blooms 2027 Desk Calendar is a limited edition collaboration between Brave Floral and Jack Bird Press, hand-printed on an antique letterpress and featuring original botanical illustrations with seasonal styling recommendations for each bloom.

Each month highlights a bloom from a local New Jersey grower and describes Brave Floral’s favorite way to pair it with other stems. An ideal home decor item or gift at the intersection of collectible art piece, regional field note and designer’s guide to creating your own in-season floral arrangements at home. Pair with our specialty monthly bouquet subscription featuring each page’s spotlighted bloom.

Paper with personality meets nice flowers for nice people

Jack Bird Press and Brave Floral are two independent, women-run creative studios based in Maplewood Village, New Jersey. For this collaboration, Brave Floral brings its eye for design-centric florals and deep knowledge of local blooms, while Jack Bird Press contributes its hand letterpress printing and custom paper goods expertise.

Both businesses believe in doing things by hand, with heart, and supporting local - one through letterpress ink, the other through locally grown blooms. This collaboration is really just two neighbors who make beautiful things teaming up to make something even better.

Fresh, Local & Sustainable

When available, we source our botanical goods from farms located within 99 miles of our shop in Maplewood, NJ. The flowers are transported to the shop via car or van, and arrive in the freshest state possible. We are incredibly proud to work with farmers and growers of all sizes who follow ethical growing practices. They are able to share with us the story of a particular variety or how they came to grow their favorite plants. We value being a part of this thriving, local ecosystem and economy, and actively support within our community however possible.
