The process of finding a design partner for a wedding is as much about learning about you, as it is learning about us. That's why we spend a considerable about of time getting to know our couples, and sharing a bit about us as well. These things are holistic, and not meant to be taken lightly.

Our team deep dives into nailing down the smallest details during our intensive design process by unearthing inspiration from our library of reference books, favorite Pantone color chip combinations, collection of interesting vessels, vintage ribbons and so on. Working closely with our local farmers and carefully-selected domestic and international growers, we pride ourselves in choosing a botanical line-up that’s breathtaking, seasonal and absolutely matched for your event.

There are three (3) design paths for custom wedding florals: Floral Design License, Full Service Floral Design, and Full Service Event Design.

If you are having a tiny wedding of less than 50 persons, or simply need some guidance in ordering from our selection of shop florals for an event, please see the Common Q's section below for more info.

Floral Design License
Ideal for Gatherings of 50 to 150 guests
Starting at $6K

You entrust the floral aspects of your wedding day to the Brave Floral team with the exception of a color palette which you will approve in advance. The rest is up to our in-house team of designers. Only table, accent, and personal flowers are available for this option.
  • One (1) hour preliminary Zoom or FaceTime consultation to walk-thru your deliverables (items you wish to have at your wedding) and favorite inspiration photos
  • BF team delivers a Proposal with one (1) visual reference/moodboard describing the design direction for your wedding day
  • Contract, and 25% deposit to secure your date in our books
  • 4-6 weeks from event date, we finalize the final counts for your items
  • Packaged and delivered to local venue the day-of. You make arrangements for an event coordinator or wedding planner to place the florals on tables.
  • Post-event, you may gift, donate or keep your florals and vessels as this is included in your pricing. You may also return the vessels to the shop for a credit.
  • Waste-conscious tear down available for an added fee.

        Full Service Floral Design
        Starting at $12K

        We work closely with the couple or planner to conceptualize a floral-focused plan that feels curated and custom for the event day. This option includes a detailed design plan and waste-conscious tear down.
        • In-person consultation at your venue to walk-thru your deliverables (items you wish to have at your wedding) and favorite inspiration photos
        • BF team delivers a Proposal with one (1) visual reference/moodboard describing the ambiance for your wedding day; also includes candlelight options
        • Contract, and 25% deposit to secure your date in our books
        • Detailed Design Guide & presentation meeting over Zoom or Google Meet; up to two (2) revisions to Design Guide
        • 4-6 weeks from event date, we finalize the final counts for your items
        • BF team is on-site all day to install all floral aspects of your day
        • Waste-conscious tear down same evening
        • BF team available by phone or email Tuesday thru Friday; direct contact information to be provided

          Full Service Event Design
          Starting at $25K

          We work closely with the couple or planner to conceptualize a full event design plan that is entirely custom for the event day. This option includes the selection and coordination of decorative items such as floral design and needed rentals (furniture, plants, linens, table settings, candlelight, and lighting), along with a detailed event design plan and waste-conscious tear down.
          • In-person consultation at your venue to walk-thru your deliverables (items you wish to have at your wedding) and favorite inspiration photos
          • BF team delivers a Proposal with one (1) visual reference/moodboard describing the ambiance for your wedding day
          • Contract, and 25% deposit to secure your date in our books
          • Detailed Design Guide & presentation meeting over Zoom or Google Meet; up to two (2) revisions are allowed
          • 25% of estimate due 12 weeks from event date
          • 4-6 weeks from event date, we finalize the final counts for your items
          • BF team is on-site the entire duration of event to install, style and move any decorative aspects of your day
          • Waste-conscious tear down same evening
          • BF team available by phone or email Tuesday thru Friday; direct contact information to be provided

            Can you share the full design after our consultation?

              We require a deposit be paid & Agreement be signed before proceeding with any of the design and production steps. We clock in hours upon hours carefully crafting a design for each of our clients; therefore, in the Proposal phase, and prior to an Agreement being signed, we share only an estimated budget range & one (1) page visual reference of the proposed design direction. Once an Agreement is signed, we share full budget breakdowns, followed by the Design Guide in the months leading up to the event date.

                What is included in your Estimates?

                  Our Estimates are typically broken down by Botanical Items, Hard Goods & Production Labor/Staffing. Executing your day without a hitch means we need good, solid (wo)manpower to do it. We hire hard-working, detail-oriented people, and pay them competitively. You can expect that Production and Staffing costs account for 30% of your budget with us for Full Service Floral & Event Design.

                    When are remaining balances due?

                      For Event Design clients, a second 25% is due twelve (12) weeks before the wedding date, and remaining balance due three (3) weeks prior to the event. For all other Floral Design clients, the remaining balance is due three (3) weeks prior to the event.

                        How many weddings does Brave Floral take on at a time?

                          Very rarely do we take on more than one (1) wedding per weekend. We can promise you that your wedding is of utmost priority to our team, and we schedule accordingly to reflect that.

                          What geographical areas do you service?

                          Our retail flower shop is based in Maplewood, NJ, and our creative team most frequently services weddings in and between New Jersey, Brooklyn, Manhattan, the Hudson Valley, Bucks County and Philadelphia.

                          And...there's COVID! What things are you doing differently?

                          For all shop and event operations, we are following the guidance of the CDC, state, and local townships in regards to facial coverings and social distancing. We continue to use the utmost care when handling all shop & event florals by utilizing face masks, disposable gloves, antibacterial cleaners and disinfecting sprays throughout the process. If your venue requires specific procedures be followed, we are happy to comply with however means necessary.

                          What if I want a custom design for a tiny wedding (<50 guests)?

                          We're happy to design something custom for local weddings of less than 50 guests, and budgets starting at $3K. Send us the date, time, location, details, and your contact info to weddings@bravefloral.com for an estimate.

                          What if I just want to order something seasonal and pretty off of your website for my event?

                          Please do! We can pull together an order of any quantity and combination of BF Seasonal Signature Arrangements, Send a Little Love Bouquets, or Personal Flowers. If you need any help deciding what you might need, email us at weddings@bravefloral.com so we can guide you. We ask that for larger web orders, you give us at least two weeks notice. Plus, depending on the size of the order, we may ask you to sign a contract since we would need to order special quantities of florals ahead of time for you.
