Formally known as the Philodendron xanadu, it was reclassified as Thaumatophyllum xanadu in 2018 based on newly discovered DNA evidence. It's a plant that becomes even more attractive with age with strikingly dark green leaves, a thick trunk, and distinct aerial roots along the soil surface.
